Baseball Recap: Richlands Comes Up Short

Richlands fell victim to West Carteret and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on April 3rd.

Richlands has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for West Carteret, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Richlands has already played their next game, a 6-4 win against White Oak on the 1st. As for West Carteret, they will head out on the road to take on Swansboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 3.7, the Pirates 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
