Recap: Oakman Wildcats vs. Addison Bulldogs
The Oakman Wildcats waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Addison by a score of 57-47. Oakman pushed the score to 51-31 by the end of the third, a deficit Addison cut but never quite recovered from.
Oakman was led to victory by Trenton Warren and Rick Johnson. Warren scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, while Johnson scored 24 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least a third of Oakman's points. Another player making a difference was Aidan Carson, who scored five points along with seven assists.
Oakman's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Addison, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.
Oakman will head out on the road to take on Meek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meek is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Addison, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Winston County at 8:00 p.m.
