Baseball Recap: East Lawrence Takes a Loss

East Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lexington Golden Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2018.

East Lawrence's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lexington, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Coincidentally, East Lawrence and Lexington will both be playing Hatton the next time they take the field. Lexington will head out to face Hatton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while East Lawrence will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
