Volleyball Recap: Bella Vista Comes Up Short

Bella Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Inderkum Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

While Bella Vista had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 19-25, 25-19.

Bella Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Inderkum, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14.

Bella Vista and Inderkum could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Broncos (ranked 752nd) will meet Christian Brothers (ranked 246th) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Inderkum will challenge Woodcreek at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (668 vs. 192).
