Basketball Game Preview: Tonasket Tigers vs. Manson Trojans

Tonasket and Manson are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Tonasket Tigers will be playing at home against the Manson Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Tonasket will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Liberty Bell, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Tonasket managed a 69-64 win over Liberty Bell on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Tanner Tompkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 41 points and seven boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Tonasket's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristian Jones, who posted six points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Meanwhile, Manson had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Cascade 67-48 on Tuesday.

Manson's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Tonasket, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-9.

Tonasket strolled past Manson in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 62-44. Will Tonasket repeat their success, or does Manson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
