Nekoosa had to endure  a  four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Assumption Royals by a score of  2-0  on Saturday. The Papermakers were shut out  2-0 the last time they took on the Royals, so the Papermakers were just returning the favor.
 Nekoosa never let Assumption on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18,  26-24.
 Bristal Brock paced Nekoosa's offense, picking up four kills. Brock got some help from  Aubrey Boerboom and her 13 assists. Boerboom also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Jaella Cassel, racking up three apiece.
Nekoosa's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Assumption,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-13.
 Looking ahead, Nekoosa will head out to  square off against Westfield Area  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Assumption, they have already played their next game,  a  3-0  defeat against Auburndale on the 16th.
