Softball Recap: Coffee County Central Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Coffee County Central lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Lincoln County, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Red Raiders blew past the Falcons 8-1 on Wednesday. Considering the Red Raiders have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Coffee County Central's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jalyn Moran, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

The victory (which was Coffee County Central's fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-12. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln County, their loss dropped their record down to 16-14-2.

Lincoln County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-4 victory against Columbia Central on the 8th. Hopefully Coffee County Central paid attention to the Falcons' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
