The Thorsby Rebels will take on the Dallas County Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Thorsby is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Friday, Thorsby strolled past Thomasville with points to spare, taking the game 36-21.

Braylon Carroll was his usual excellent self, rushing for 138 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 103 yards and one TD on only eight passes. What's more, he racked up 145.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Thorsby was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 249 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 212 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Dallas County didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Wilcox Central on Friday, but they still walked away with a 22-16 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won five in a row.
Thorsby better keep an eye on Kentrell Hamilton. He was instrumental in Dallas County's win, rushing for 237 yards while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Hamilton is becoming a predictor of the Hornets' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
One reason for the win was Dallas County's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 5.5 sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece ( Robert Davis also recorded half a sack).
Thorsby's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Dallas County, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Thorsby has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 275.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Dallas County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 155.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Thorsby against Dallas County when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-12 win. Do the Rebels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
