Volleyball Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short on the Road Against Pajaro Valley

St. Francis had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Pajaro Valley Grizzlies by a score of 3-2. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

St. Francis took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 18-25, 22-25, 25-14, 15-9.

St. Francis will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kirby Prep at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Pajaro Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Soledad on the 14th.
