Oregon cancels remaining winter state championships, suspends spring sports

Oregon School Activities Association cancels remaining winter state championships.

The Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) has cancelled all remaining winter state championships per a
press release on Thursday. This includes the remaining Basketball and Dance/Drill State Championships.
The state basketball tournament had entered the semifinal rounds and were set to take place March 13-14. All games have been cancelled effective immediately. This is all because of concerns over the due to COVID-19 virus.
The OSAA also announced the suspension of all spring practices and contests through March 31, following a
press release on Friday.
