Basketball Recap: Mountain View Christian Takes a Loss

Mountain View Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sandy Valley Sidewinders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Saints of the 30-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Mountain View Christian lost, don't look at Keiva Feingold. Despite the final result, she posted 27 points. With that strong performance, Feingold is now averaging an impressive 16.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariadna Carranza, who put up 13 points.

Mountain View Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Sandy Valley, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-11.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Beaver Dam the next time they take the court. Mountain View Christian will host Beaver Dam at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while Sandy Valley will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on February 6th.
