Basketball Game Preview: McDonough Rams vs. Friendly Patriots

The McDonough Rams will head out to challenge the Friendly Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

McDonough lost 47-24 to Calvert on Friday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Friendly humbled Potomac with a 60-30 victory. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

McDonough better keep an eye on Jasmine Germany. She was instrumental in Friendly's win, going 12-for-17 en route to 27 points and six steals. Thanks to that strong game, Germany now owns an excellent 45.4% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Janiyah Hightower, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Friendly's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for McDonough, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

McDonough was able to grind out a solid victory over Friendly in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 48-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for McDonough since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
