Eaton and Platte Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but not for long. The Reds will head out on the road to square off against the Broncos at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eaton will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Eaton made easy work of Liberty Common and carried off a 3-0 win.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Eaton took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-9, 25-11.

Eaton relied on the efforts of Trinity Salberg, who had 16 assists, and Hayden Logan, who had nine digs and one assist. Salberg is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.
Meanwhile, Platte Valley got the win against Brush on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.
While Platte Valley might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Brush scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.
Eaton better keep an eye on Addy Grossnickle. She was instrumental in Platte Valley's win, getting 20 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Grossnickle has posted since back in September.
Eaton's record now sits at 15-1. As for Platte Valley, their record is now 9-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's match: Eaton has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Platte Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Eaton couldn't quite get it done against Platte Valley in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Reds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
