Preview: Fort Payne Wildcats vs. West Point Warriors
Fort Payne has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. Having just played yesterday, they will jump right back in to play the West Point Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Fort Payne was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-40 to Boaz.
West Point has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 25 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Pell City 69-40 on the road. The victory was nothing new for West Point as they're now sitting on five straight.
Fort Payne's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for West Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
