Lafayette waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Nelson County Cardinals by a score of 2-0.

Audrey Gossett paced Lafayette's offense, picking up nine kills. Gossett got some help from Elise Trimble and her 19 assists.

Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Nelson County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season.

Lafayette didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Highlands on the 11th. As for Nelson County, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lexington Christian on the 11th.
