Baseball Recap: Canton Takes a Loss

Canton and Spring Hill squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Canton had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since February 27th.

Canton has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-14 record this season. As for Spring Hill, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 25-6.

While Canton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
