Firth posted their closest win since May 7, 2024 on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Declo Hornets 7-6. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 12-7 victory the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Andrea Fielding, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mckenna Erickson, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Firth moved to 3-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Declo, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Firth didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 21-1 defeat against Malad on the 14th. As for Declo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 14-7 loss against Wendell on the 15th.
