Basketball Game Preview: Hayworth Christian Knights vs. Carolina Christian Lions

The Hayworth Christian Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Carolina Christian Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Hayworth Christian came up short against Carolina Christian Academy and fell 53-45.

Despite the defeat, Hayworth Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Daniel Gerringer posted 21 points. That was a full 46.7% of the Knights' points, marking the third time in a row Gerringer has scored more than a third of the team's points. Grayson Rubnich was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Carolina Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 53-45 win over Victory Christian Academy on Monday.

Carolina Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hayworth Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
