Baseball Preview: Danbury Lakers vs. Calvert Senecas
Danbury is 0-10 against Calvert since May of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Lakers are taking a road trip to square off against the Senecas at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Danbury's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Port Clinton. The win was some much needed relief for the Lakers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
The result came thanks to Logan Shepherd's shutout, as he gave up just two hits.

Meanwhile, Calvert entered their tilt with St. Mary Central Catholic on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Senecas have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Calvert pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Danbury, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
