Westlake extended their winning streak to eight on Tuesday, bumping them up to 8-0. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-11 victory over the Weiss Wolves. While the Chaparrals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

As for Weiss, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (ten), they still had to take the loss.

For Weiss' part, Milani Martinez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Gomez, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Westlake wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-3 win against San Marcos on the 26th. As for Weiss, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Robinson on the 26th.
