Basketball Recap: Willamette Comes Up Short

Willamette lost against South Medford back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Willamette Wolverines were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to the South Medford Panthers. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Willamette's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for South Medford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

When Willamette and South Medford next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Willamette will challenge Sheldon and their three-game winning streak at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, South Medford will try to stop North Medford's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
