Baseball Recap: Indian Rocks Christian Takes a Loss

Indian Rocks Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Wharton on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Indian Rocks Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Leiher, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Indian Rocks Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Wharton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Indian Rocks Christian will challenge Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wharton, they will welcome Hillsborough at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
