Basketball Recap: Camden Montoya Key Part of Team Effort in Rangers/Rangerettes Win + How To Watch

Mora saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against the Thoreau Hawks by a score of 47-39.

Mora got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Camden Montoya out in front who shot 70% from the field en route to 14 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Krystopher Padilla, who posted nine points along with seven boards and five steals.

Despite the loss, Thoreau still got an impressive performance from Jordan Calladitto, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 12 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

Mora's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Thoreau, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, Mora and Penasco will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Rangers/Rangerettes' defense better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 58.2 points per game this season. As for Thoreau, they will be home for the holidays to greet Rehoboth Christian at 2:30 p.m. on the 20th.
