Football Recap: Lytle Falls Despite Big Games from Travis Norton and Weston Jackson

Lytle lost against Jourdanton back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates lost 55-34 to the Indians/Squaws. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lytle's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Weston Jackson, who threw for 209 yards and three touchdowns, and Travis Norton, who picked up 47 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The Pirates also got help from Toby Davila, who showed off his sure hands for 84 receiving yards.

Lytle's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Jourdanton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Lytle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jourdanton, they will face off against Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
