Basketball Recap: Rock Springs Christian Academy's Loss Ends 15-Game Winning Streak at Home

Rock Springs Christian Academy entered their matchup against Furtah Prep on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Rock Springs Christian Academy received a blow as they fell 56-40 to the Furtah Prep Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Rock Springs Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 85-38 back in December of 2024.

Jase Nichols and Jason Bates certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Nichols posted 13 points and seven boards, while Bates put up 13 points. Nichols is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Rock Springs Christian Academy's defeat ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-3. As for Furtah Prep, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

Rock Springs Christian Academy will try to stop Central Fellowship Christian Academy's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Rock Springs Christian Academy will be looking to keep their 15-game home win streak dating back to last season alive. Similarly, Furtah Prep will take on Lakeview Academy and their six-game winning streak at 2:30 p.m. on February 1st. Rock Springs Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.4 points per game this season.
