Basketball Recap: East Palestine Takes a Loss

East Palestine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 45-13 defeat at the hands of the Catholic Central Crusaders. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2021.

East Palestine lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Emma Gingher, who posted four points.

East Palestine's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Catholic Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

East Palestine has already played their next matchup (against Valley Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Catholic Central has already played their next game, a 51-44 victory against Shadyside on the 20th.
