Sterling has gone 8-2 against Brush recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Tigers will face off against the Beetdiggers at 11:00 a.m. Sterling is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Sterling beat Fort Morgan 10-6. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Sterling got a massive performance out of Aiden Ortega, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Ortega a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Conner Gemaehlich, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Brush was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eaton. The Beetdiggers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brush saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trae Romero, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Sterling's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Brush, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-4.

Sterling beat Brush 6-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
