Floydada blew Wellington out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Wellington got their revenge. Floydada fell just short of Wellington by a score of 6-4. The Whirlwinds' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Floydada's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Wellington, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Floydada will host Clarendon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Clarendon will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Floydada surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wellington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lockney at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Wellington will need to watch out since Lockney has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
