Basketball Recap: Wylie East Comes Up Short

After flying high against North Garland last Tuesday, Wylie East came back down to earth. The Wylie East Raiders fell just short of the Sachse Mustangs by a score of 50-47 on Friday. The Raiders have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Wylie East's loss dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Sachse, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 26-5.

Wylie East and Sachse should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Wylie East (ranked 448th) will meet South Garland (ranked 1324th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Sachse will square off against North Garland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 841 places (32 vs. 873).
