Baseball Game Preview: Nandua Warriors vs. King William Cavaliers

The Nandua Warriors will take on the King William Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nandua will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Nandua is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over John Marshall. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, King William posted their closest win since June 4, 2024 last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Patrick Henry 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.

King William saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Reid, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

King William pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Nandua, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Nandua couldn't quite get it done against King William in their previous meeting back in May of 2019 as they fell 6-2. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
