Baseball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

Woodland lost against Academic Magnet back in April of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Woodland Wolverines came up short against the Academic Magnet Raptors, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly ten runs.

Terez Jamez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. That hit marked the first that he got this season.

Woodland dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Academic Magnet, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodland will venture away from home to challenge Bluffton at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodland has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Academic Magnet, they will head out to square off against Stall at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
