Baseball Recap: Tates Creek Has No Trouble Against Corbin

Tates Creek barely beat Corbin the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Tates Creek blew past Corbin 17-4 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Commodores, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Aaron Hobson looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Ethan Ratley was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Risalvato, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

With the victory, Tates Creek broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Corbin, their record now sits at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tates Creek will venture away from home to challenge Somerset at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corbin, they will head out to take on Southwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Corbin's pitchers better be ready for this one: Southwestern has averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
