Volleyball Game Preview: Ridgewood Generals vs. Indian Valley Braves

Ridgewood hasn't had much luck against Indian Valley recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Generals will venture away from home to take on the Braves at 7:00 p.m. Ridgewood is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Ridgewood will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Claymont, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Generals walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Mustangs on Tuesday.

Ridgewood was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-12, 21-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Indian Valley lost 3-0 to Hiland on Tuesday.

Indian Valley took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-21.

Indian Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Ridgewood, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Ridgewood couldn't quite get it done against Indian Valley in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 3-1. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Braves' Gionna Miles, who had 31 digs and four aces. Now that the Generals know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
