Football Recap: Southwest Georgia STEM Charter Takes a Loss

Southwest Georgia STEM Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 52-12 loss at the hands of the Calhoun County Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Aggies of the 44-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Southwest Georgia STEM Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Calhoun County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwest Georgia STEM Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chattahoochee County at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The Aggies will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.43 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Calhoun County, after each having a week off, they and Atkinson County will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Rebels have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.
