Basketball Recap: Morehead Comes Up Short

Morehead managed to keep up with Walkertown until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Morehead Panthers came up short against the Walkertown Wolfpack, falling 57-36. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Wolfpack recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Walkertown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenan Grady, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 16 points. The game was Grady's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Camereon Cartlidge, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards.

Morehead's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Walkertown, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-9.

As of now, neither Morehead nor Walkertown have any future games scheduled.
