Basketball Recap: Brighton/Boston Academy Comes Up Short

Brighton/Boston Academy kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a hard 40-22 fall against the Winthrop Vikings.

Noah Bayersdorfer was the offensive standout of the matchup as he posted 18 points. Joseph Schettino was another key player, putting up seven points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brighton/Boston Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Charlestown at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for Winthrop, they will host Holbrook at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
