Football Recap: McFarland Cougars vs. Tranquillity Tigers        
        
		
             McFarland never let their opponents score on Friday. They took down the Tranquillity Tigers 18-0. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Cougars.
 McFarland got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Raul Cabanillas out in front who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Cabanillas' also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  picking up  a  sack and making six total tackles (1.0 for loss).  Sebastian San Juan Concha was another key back, rushing for 123 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
 McFarland's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as  Richard Samaniego,  Julian Barajas, and  Fernando Santiago Chincoya picked up one apiece. Samaniego also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making two total tackles and defending three passes in addition to snagging   an  interception.
 McFarland was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 331  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since  was before  the start of last season.
 McFarland's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tranquillity,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McFarland will venture away from home to  take on Granite Hills  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. McFarland is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a three-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Tranquillity, they will challenge Farmersville at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
