Baseball Game Preview: Manzanola Bobcats vs. Granada Bobcats

Manzanola is 2-8 against Granada since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Manzanola will head out to face off against Granada at 1:00 p.m. Manzanola will be strutting in after a win while Granada will be coming in after a defeat.

Manzanola took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Sierra Grande by a score of 11-6. The Bobcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Granada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Springfield, falling 9-3.

Sebastian Pizarro was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Coleman, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Granada's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Manzanola, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Manzanola suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Granada in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Manzanola avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
