Baseball Recap: Canyon Hills Rattlers vs. Hoover Cardinals
Canyon Hills extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 9-16-2 in the process. They lost 11-3 to the Hoover Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 on Tuesday.
Canyon Hills saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josue Flores, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
As for Hoover, their victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-23. That looming 11-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.
On Hoover's side, the team relied heavily on Lucian Hura, who went 4-for-5 with one run. That's the most hits Hura has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Enyama- Turner, who got on base in four of his seven plate appearances with two runs.
As of now, neither Canyon Hills nor Hoover have any future games scheduled.
