The Bristol Eastern Lancers will head out on the road to  take on  the Newington Nor'easters  at 3:45  p.m.  on Tuesday. Bristol Eastern knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Newington likes a good challenge.
Bristol Eastern's pitching crew heads into the  match  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Monday. They put the hurt on Northwest Catholic with a sharp  19-0 victory. The  win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won five in a row.

 Hailey Beebe and  Leah Webber were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing,  Beebe   struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile,  Webber   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Beebe has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. At bat,  Beebe  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  doubles and two  RBI, while  Webber  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Corinne Sutula was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  triple. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April of 2024.  Lyla Wegiel also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
 Bristol Eastern  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 11  hits in four consecutive  games.
Meanwhile, Newington scored the most  runs they've had  this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Naugatuck by a score of  16-15. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  last Friday (12), the Nor'easters still had to take the loss.
  Aniyah Ross made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 2.2  runs per game. Another player making a difference was  Kiley Connors, who  went 2-for-4 with three  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
 Newington's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bristol Eastern, their victory was  their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-0.
Newington's hitters will have their work cut out for them  on Tuesday. Bristol Eastern has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7  strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Newington, though, as  they've been averaging  only 3.8  strikeouts. Will Bristol Eastern keep running through batters, or will the Nor'easters buck the trend?
 Bristol Eastern couldn't quite finish off Newington in their previous meeting  back in April of 2022 and fell  7-5. Can the Lancers avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
