Softball Recap: Vista del Lago Takes a Loss

Vista del Lago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the JW North Huskies, falling 15-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ravens of the 16-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Vista del Lago saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dayla Moreno, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double was Moreno's first of the season.

Vista del Lago's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for JW North, their record now sits at 10-8.

Looking ahead, Vista del Lago will head out on the road to challenge Heritage at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.08 runs per game on average), something the Ravens will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for JW North, they will welcome Canyon Springs at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
