Preview: Sierra Vista Dons vs. Workman Lobos

The Sierra Vista Dons will head out on the road to face off against the Workman Lobos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Sierra Vista sitting on three straight wins and Workman on five.

Sierra Vista posted their closest win yet this season on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Nogales and snuck past 46-44.

David Orozco continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with two steals. Aaron Buna was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.

Meanwhile, Workman can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Duarte 70-32 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Workman has posted against Duarte since May 17, 2021.

Sierra Vista's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-8. As for Workman, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Sierra Vista didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Workman when the teams last played two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 47-42 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sierra Vista since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
