Football Recap: Garber Comes Up Short

Garber was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Laverne Tigers, falling 66-20. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Tigers are ranked fifth).

When it comes to explaining why Garber lost, don't look at Aiden Johnson. Despite the final result, he threw for 125 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 67 yards.

Even if they lost, Garber's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Shane Smith with two.

Garber now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Laverne, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
