Football Game Preview: Weimar Wildcats vs. Danbury Panthers

The Weimar Wildcats will challenge the Danbury Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Danbury took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Weimar, who comes in off a win.

Weimar will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up eight points last Friday, then bounced right back against Bloomington on Friday. The Wildcats claimed a resounding 42-13 win over the Bobcats/Lady Cats. Considering the Wildcats have won three matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Danbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 51-6 loss at the hands of Kenedy. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-6.

Weimar's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.8 points over those games. As for Danbury, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
