Soccer Recap: Grass Lake Comes Up Short

Grass Lake came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Leslie Blackhawks, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Grass Lake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 231st, while Leslie are ranked 77th).

Grass Lake has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Leslie, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1-1.

Coming up, Grass Lake will challenge Jonesville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Leslie, they will take on Hanover-Horton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Leslie are facing Hanover-Horton at the right time seeing as Hanover-Horton are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
