Volleyball Recap: South Lyon Falls Short Against Ranked Bloomfield Hills

South Lyon faced Bloomfield Hills in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Black Hawks. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Black Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14.

Kennedy Duncan paced South Lyon's offense, picking up five kills. Duncan got some help from Lucy Stoll and her ten assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, South Lyon fell to 6-1. As for Bloomfield Hills, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coincidentally, South Lyon and Bloomfield Hills will both be playing Detroit Country Day the next time they take the court. The Black Hawks will host the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
