Volleyball Game Preview: Kimball Jaguars vs. Bear Creek Bruins

After both having extra time off, the Kimball Jaguars and the Bear Creek Bruins will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Kimball earned a 3-1 victory over Lodi.

The win didn't come easy: Lodi scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 28-26, 12-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Bear Creek hadn't done well against McNair recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bruins had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bruins have posted since February 25th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Bear Creek who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 18-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-9.

Kimball's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15. As for Bear Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Kimball came up short against Bear Creek in their previous matchup on April 4th, falling 3-1. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
