Soccer Recap: Perris' Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Despite a strong season so far, Perris has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They came up short against the Hillcrest Trojans on Thursday, falling 3-0. The match was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Panthers it sure didn't stay that way.

Perris' loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-2-1. As for Hillcrest, they pushed their record up to 8-6-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Perris and Hillcrest should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Perris will face off against Canyon Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 492 places (181 vs. 673). Perris is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season. Similarly, Hillcrest (ranked 529th) will meet Rancho Christian (ranked 1188th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
