Basketball Game Preview: Luray Bulldogs vs. Wilson Memorial Green Hornets

Luray hasn't had much luck against Wilson Memorial recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Luray Bulldogs will be home for the holidays to greet the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Wilson Memorial took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Luray, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row dating back to last season, Luray turned things around against Stuarts Draft on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cougars 46-43. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Wilson Memorial came up short against Staunton River on Friday and fell 52-39. The matchup marked the Green Hornets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Wilson Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Luray, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Luray and Wilson Memorial were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January of 2019, but Luray came up empty-handed after a 63-62 defeat. Can Luray avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
