Softball Recap: Clinton Gets the Win

After losing to Lunenburg the last time they met, Clinton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gaels came out on top against the Blue Knights by a score of 11-8 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gaels.

Clinton now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lunenburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton will venture away from home to challenge Tyngsborough at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Gaels' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lunenburg, they will face off against Oakmont Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the Blue Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
